ANNUAL REPORT 2020-21
Dear Readers,
It may seem paradoxical that adversities, one may not easily believe, clan-
destinely offer opportunities also. It is human nature, one has to believe, that in
such a predicament of merciless adversity, we venture out the roads not taken so
far.
In this pandemic period when the doors of schools are shut with unbelievable
quantum of wickedness, ways to reach out to children are evolved. The year 2020-
21 is testimony.
As an outcome, all classes, from LKG to 12th std., are conducted online. Cisco We-
bex platform and Whats App are made use of.
Ambika English Medium School, Palakunnu, having crossed its Golden Jubilee
mark has carved out a niche of its own in the hearts of thousands of people in and
around Palakunnu by virtue of its many many glorious years of dedicated service
to the learner. This year, despite the fear and apprehensions of Covid 19, began on
a very happy and gratifying note as all our candidates in Board Exam 2019-20 got
through with flying colours.
A glimpse of the other activities conducted this year.
• Online morning assembly on all working days, classes taking turn one after
the other.
• Online and offline (10th & 12th ) CPTA meetings at regular intervals.
• Online and offline PTA Executive meetings regularly.
• Online Periodic Tests & I Terminal Exams.
• World Environment Day on June 5th with poster making etc.
• Hiroshima & Nagasaki Days - elocution, poster making etc. (Social Science
Club)
• Independence Day on August 15th - Apart from flag hoisting, a plethora of
activities like online morning assembly, patriotic songs, speech, recitation, decla-
mation, origami competitons, (Maths Club) etc. video posted in groups.
• Online Onam celebrations on August 30th - A unique experience. Much en-
joyed by the children. Embellished with various activities viz. Onappattu, dances,
fancy dress, pookkalam and so on.
• Teachers’ Day celebration on September 5th - Special morning assembly,
